In January of 2005, I put this bracelet on. It says THINK BLUE 11/04/08. I've never taken it off - and have proudly explained to anyone and everyone who asked about it what it said and meant. I told myself that eventually I could take it off for the right reason - President Barack Obama.
I told my sister this morning that I'd have a "ceremonial removal of the wristband," and would cut it into little pieces. So, there it is.
I can't wait to see how our country changes and how the world reacts to this. I really don't know what else to say - except that watching Jesse Jackson cry tears of joy said it all just now. I am so proud to be an American.

I can only imagine what it must feel like to be an American right now...I lived there for only 6yrs and yet even I feel pride...I'm so happy that Obama won!
It is so amazing! We can finally say for the first time in years that NC is a blue state. I couldn't be happier. Here's to renewed hope and joy in our county and to the end of a horrible nighmare! Thanks also for the congratulatory comments. We are very excited. We are trying to manifest a boy to carry on the Floyd name. Justin said it is down to him and Chaz and he takes get pride in possibly helping his dad's legacy live on. 2009 is going to be a great year! I hope all is well with you and the family.
